چکیده

Background. Hepatitis B infection can lead to advanced liver disease (ALD) which causes serious health problems. Several factors that are thought play a role in P53, Transforming Growth Factor-β1 (TGF-β1), and Interleukin-10 (IL-10). Therefore, this study aimed determine the association between TGF-β1, IL-10 serum levels with ALD.Methods. We collected 68 sera from patients HBV infection. were measured by ELISA. also detected SNPs P53 TGF-b1 genes determines their associations. Results Conclusions: In study, we obtained 41.18% CH 58.82% ALD patients. Male outnumbered female all groups. There was significant relationship (p = 0.03 0.01, respectively), but not levels. However, there no SNP gene nor 0.73 0.23, respectively). Both leveles act as biomarkers of prognosis target therapy for

Plasma levels of Transforming Growth Factor Beta in HIV-1 patients with oral candidiasis

Background and Purpose: TGF-β is a potent regulator and suppressor of the immune system and overproduction of this cytokine may contribute to immunosuppression in HIV-infected patients. Increasing population of immunosuppressed patients has resulted in increasingly frequent of fungal infections, including oral candidiasis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the plasma levels of TGF-&bet...

Expression of Transforming Growth Factor beta-1 in Chronic Hepatitis and Hepatocellular Carcinoma Associated with Hepatitis C Virus Infection

BACKGROUND Transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF beta 1) has been suggested to play a role in the development, growth or progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Genotype and serum titer of HCV also affect the occurrence of HCC in chronic hepatitis C. In this study, we were to evaluate the effects of genotype or serum titer of HCV on the expression of TGF beta 1. We also intended to exam...

Evaluation of miR-101 Level in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B Virus Infection and Liver Cirrhosis

ABSTRACT        Background and Objective: MiRNAs are small RNAs that are expressed in most eukaryotes, and can regulate gene expression by attaching to the 3’ end of target mRNA. MicroRNA-101 (miR-101) post-transcriptional regulation is important for host-virus interactions. In addition, miR-101 has a tumor suppressive role in liver cancer and metastasis, an...

no correlation between interleukin-10 gene promoter polymorphisms and hepatitis b virus infection outcome

objectives this study evaluates the correlation between hbv infection and snp in il-10 gene promoter. patients and methods ninety-six hbv-infected patients (32 chronic hepatitis b infection patients, 34 healthy carriers, 30 spontaneously recovered cases) and 31 healthy controls were enrolled. three biallelic (-819,-592,-1082) regions in the il-10 gene promoter were sequenced for all patients. r...

Serum interleukin-6 and interferon-gamma levels in patients with hepatitis B-associated chronic liver disease.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection can elicit a variety of clinical sequelae ranging from acute self-limited hepatitis to hepatocellular carcinoma, which are not attributable to a direct cytopathic effect of the virus but rather to the individual host's immune response. Cytokines, low-molecular-weight proteins with a broad range of activity, have been shown to be involved in the regulation of he...
